What is Hypnobirthing???
Birth is Normal! Birth is Natural! & We have been created as women to give birth..... Just as we are designed to conceive and grow our babies... Our bodies know how to finish the job!
And this is what you will learn in my Hypnobirthing Courses
Hypnobirthing is as much a philosophy of birthing as it is a technique. When a mother and her birth partner are able to approach their birth without any fear and with knowledge and tools for the birth – then their birthing can be an empowering & positive experience.
The ‘Hypno’ part of ‘Hypnobirthing’ refers to the hypnotherapy that we use during
the course to release any fears and to also condition ourselves to release our
natural pain-relieving hormone endorphins. With the help of hypnosis, the birth of
your baby can be a more calm and relaxed experience. One where you are in
control of your birth and are in control of what direction you want your birth
to go in.
While other prenatal courses differ, hypnobirthing classes teach the mother and
birth companion to use a combination of techniques that include breathing,
visualization, positive thinking and words to relax the body and the mind as well
as control any sensations that may be felt during labour. This is likely to reduce the
need for medical interventions during your birthing but also prepare you for
whatever turn your birthing may take.
In your Hypnobirthing Australia™️ classes, you will gain an understanding of how the birthing muscles work
in perfect harmony, as they were designed to. When your body is relaxed and you
have faith in your body's ability to birth it's amazing what you can do.
Your birth partner will also learn ways to help you throughout pregnancy and birth. This is very useful for the birth and empowering for the birth partner. Many Hypnobirthing mums comment after birth that they and their birth partner ‘did it together.
When you have your baby with Hypnobirthing, you will not be in a trance or a sleep. You will actually be in a heightened state of awareness – awake, but deeply relaxed. You may look like you are asleep at times – but internally, you will be aware of what is going on around you when you need to be. You will be calmly in tune with your body and your baby and this will assist the birth to progress. When it feels right, you will move around and may even speak. You will help in directing the course of your birth.
