About the Event

Shari Lyon from Belly2Birth is a 7 x award-winning Hypnobirthing Australia Practitioner and one of Australia's Leading Childbirth Educators. Shari has been teaching the Hypnobirthing Australia Program for 8 years and taught over 1000 couples and has personally used the techniques for her own 2 births. You can watch Shari using the techniques in her birth video on the Home page.

In this one-day intensive face to face workshop on Monday the 9th of August 2021 we will start at 9 am and finish around 4:30-5 pm. The training will be held in one of the training rooms at Dalby Hospital. Once the room is confirmed I will confirm with you

The price for qualified midwives is $195 inc GST if there are 10 midwives or more a 10% will be applied to bring the price down to $175.50

The price for student midwives is $150 inc GST

In our ‘Supportive Caregivers Training’ we will cover:

  • Introduction to the positive mindset of hypnobirthing
  • Causes of fear and how it affects labour (psychological, emotional, physical)
  • How caregivers can best help and support hypnobirthing parents
  • What is hypnosis and how it is used through pregnancy and birth
  • Re-programming the subconscious – conditioning techniques used
  • The importance of a calm birthing environment
  • The language for empowered birthing
  • Releasing endorphins through touch
  • Introducing our toolkit for birth – breathing, visualisation, relaxation
  • Self-hypnosis techniques – how parents use them through pregnancy and birth
  • The power of triggers, anchors, suggestions and self-hypnosis during birth
  • Prompts that can be used during birth
  • Birth Preferences – the importance of open communication, negotiation and respecting women’s choices
  • Special circumstances
  • Releasing our own fears and reservations
  • Techniques and tools to manage stress. Deep relaxation techniques for caregivers (caregivers need nurturing too!)
